Kitchen & Dining Room Knock-Through - Suzanne

Knock-through project to combine the existing kitchen and dining room into one open-plan space. As the property is an upside-down house with the kitchen located upstairs, the wall removed was non-load-bearing, allowing for a more straightforward alteration without the need for structural steel. Works included removal of the dividing wall, full strip-out of the existing kitchen, updates to plumbing and electrics, plastering throughout, and preparation for new flooring and kitchen installation. The layout was reworked to create a more open and sociable space, making better use of the available light and improving overall flow. The finished result is a clean, modern kitchen-dining area that feels significantly larger and more functional for everyday use.

This project brings together structural expertise and modern design to reshape the space, whether through opening layouts, enhancing connections between rooms, or upgrading key areas, resulting in a home that feels more practical, spacious, and aligned with how it’s used day to day.
